Track 1: Micro- and Nano-Scale Systems for Biomedical Applications

Organizer: Assoc. Prof. Zhen Cao, Zhejiang University, China

Micro- and nano-scale systems have become powerful tools for advancing precision medicine and next-generation biomedical diagnostics. This session focuses on innovative micro/nano technologies that enable controlled manipulation, detection, and analysis of biological systems at cellular and molecular levels. Key areas include microfluidic platforms for single-cell analysis, nanoscale biosensors for real-time monitoring, nanocarriers for targeted drug and gene delivery, and integrated lab-on-a-chip systems for point-of-care diagnostics. Special attention will be given to emerging fabrication strategies, biocompatible materials, and interdisciplinary designs that bridge engineering and life sciences. This session aims to provide a forum for sharing breakthroughs that translate micro/nano-scale innovations into practical biomedical solutions.
